Pray For All People

Text: 1 Timothy 2:1-7

The Big Idea: The prayers of the Church should be as big hearted as the God we claim to worship, and as global and expansive as his purposes and activities on earth.

1) Pray for all people.

Question to consider: Is there anyone on earth for whom I am not willing to pray?

2) Because God desires all people to be saved.

Question to consider: How do I use the freedom and resources God has provided me?

3) Because Jesus is the one mediator between God and men.

Question to consider: Am I looking to the one mediator, the one way of access, God has provided for me to come to him?

God tells us, over and over again, to focus our starving souls on the superb reality of who He is, what He is doing, and what He promises to do for all who trust in Him.

And God’s invitation to glory in Him is nowhere more explicit than in the repeated command to ‘Behold.’
